Aquí tienes la traducción al inglés del texto de presentación de Casa Berracos, destacando la historia de la casona, el juego de palabras del nombre, y su enfoque comunitario en el barrio:

Casa Berracos is a specialty coffee shop located in the heart of La Blanqueada, Montevideo, inside a carefully restored 1924 manor house by its founders, Germán Bairo and Guillermo Aron.

The project was born as a way to give new life and meaning to the home where both resided, transforming it into a space for gathering, culture, and great coffee.

The name comes from Estero Bellaco street, where the house is located, and the amusing dictionary auto-correct that suggested “Berraco” (a slang term implying courage or excellence) instead of “Bellaco” (Bellaco/rascal); a coincidence that ended up giving the brand its identity.

Since its beginnings, Casa Berracos bet on a neighborhood outside the traditional specialty coffee circuit, bringing this culture to a new and diverse audience. Their offering combines carefully selected single-origin coffees with an artisanal kitchen that provides breakfasts, brunches, light lunches, and afternoon snacks.

More than a coffee shop, Casa Berracos is a house open to the neighborhood, a meeting point featuring books, plants, and cultural activities that foster community. Its warm and calm atmosphere attracts students and professionals alike who choose it to work, meet, or simply enjoy a good coffee.

With its cozy aesthetic and its human and community focus, Casa Berracos represents a new way of understanding the contemporary coffee shop: a place where specialty coffee is combined with familiarity, culture, and neighborhood life.
