D·Origen is undoubtedly a gem in the heart of Barcelona’s Eixample district. They approached the renovation of their premises with great responsibility, as it’s located on the ground floor of the Casa Calvet Building, designed and built by the famous architect Antoni Gaudí, for which he received his only award. Seeking sustainability and circularity of materials in the renovation, they partnered with a 3D printing company and created the world’s first 3D-printed furniture using recycled plastic bottles and coffee grounds.
All their surfaces are made of recycled wood. When you visit D·Origen, look for the QR codes spread throughout the premises with videos of the creation process, while you try one of their filter coffees or their Signature Espresso made with their Calvet Espresso Blend. They look forward to seeing you every day of the week except Sundays.
