Clandestino began as a small project between two brothers on the island of Holbox, dedicated to presenting specialty coffee in the most remote location possible. As the island grew into a global destination, they became recognized as the premier choice for coffee in Holbox, developing simple dishes and classic pastries to complement their beverages. Their space offered a consistent, high-quality sanctuary from the sun and sand, defined by a distinct island essence.
Eventually, they decided to bring their vision to the mainland, opening a location in Mérida. They arrived with the lessons, experiences, and relaxed coastal vibes that defined their origins. Today, Clandestino offers consistency across its entire menu and an atmosphere full of personality, forged from the challenges of serving exceptional coffee in the least imaginable places.
