Good Beans is a tiny, 10-seat specialty coffee roastery and café tucked along Bulevar del Hipódromo in San Salvador’s Colonia San Benito. What began four years ago as a simple to-go kiosk in a suburban strip mall has grown into one of the city’s most distinctive coffee destinations and now, one with international recognition.
At its core, Good Beans is dedicated to showcasing El Salvador’s own coffee at its best. Every cup is brewed from 100% Salvadoran, high-grown beans, grown, processed, and roasted entirely within the country. Coffee is roasted in small batches twice a week, keeping everything remarkably fresh while highlighting a rotating lineup of single origins and microlots.
The space itself is compact and intentionally simple, closer to a tasting room than a traditional café. It’s a place for discovery where visitors can explore multiple coffees side by side, learn about origin and processing, or pick up freshly roasted bags to take home.
What truly sets Good Beans apart is its commitment to roasting at origin and shipping worldwide. The same coffees served across the counter are also available online and delivered fresh to customers around the globe, an approach that remains rare in specialty coffee.
