Espresso Embassy opened in 2012 as one of Budapest’s first specialty coffee shops, and has been serving carefully sourced, lightly roasted coffee under the brick vaults of Arany János utca 15 ever since. It is as much a destination for traveling coffee geeks as a daily stop for regulars from the surrounding offices, institutions, and universities.
The café works closely with its longtime house roaster, Casino Mocca, alongside a rotating program of European guest roasters. Over the years, many of Hungary’s prominent baristas and coffee professionals have started their careers behind its bar.
