Arcane is the result of a decade of exploration in Panamanian coffee, motivated by their desire to shorten the distance between the harvest and the cup.
Their founder, Edgar Acosta-Masferrer, realized that his family’s land sat at the center of this movement; located in the western province of Chiriquí, where high elevation, volcanic soil, and microclimates shape some of the most celebrated farms in the world.
The café is a dedicated stage for Panamá in New York City’s West Village. Their menu is anchored by their own harvest and complemented by a circle of neighboring producers; it is a rotating study of the diverse coffees Panamá has to offer.
