In the mountains of the western highlands, where cloud forests and unique microclimates create exceptional conditions, lies Finca El Injerto, a coffee farm with over 150 years of history that has taken Guatemala’s name to the pinnacle of specialty coffee.
Founded in 1874 by Jesús Aguirre Panamá, the farm began as a diverse agricultural project before focusing on coffee cultivation in the early 20th century. Since then, generations of the Aguirre family have worked with a clear vision: prioritizing quality over volume and turning every harvest into an authentic expression of Guatemalan terroir.
Over the years, they have been internationally recognized for the excellence of their microlots and exotic varieties, participating and standing out in prestigious competitions such as the Cup of Excellence.
They distinguish themselves by a meticulous focus on every stage of the process: hand-picking fruit at its peak ripeness, carefully controlled processing, constant innovation, and strict quality grading. This technical discipline has allowed their coffees to reach record prices in international auctions and to be prized by roasters and buyers in Asian, European, and North American markets.
In addition to their production excellence, they maintain a firm commitment to environmental sustainability and community development, protecting natural forest areas and promoting responsible practices throughout their entire operation.
More than just a farm, El Injerto represents a family legacy and a long-term business vision. For them, every cup is the result of history, innovation, and a constant search for perfection.
